Picked up the car (my13 gti) Saturday and so far it's just had the centre muffler delete done today. Must say I'm impressed with the sound change. Still adjusting to the fact I now have an auto(first one I have owned) but the "paddle shifting seems to be keeping me happy for now. Next up I think will be a dsg flash.

Why the DSG flash first? Why not a chip/tune?

At this stage I'm happy with the performance of the car, won't last long I know. But the gear box seems very indecisive (may be more my driving style). I always open to idea and more research will be done before I decide what to do next. So far the wish list is lowering, stereo upgrade, tune, intake upgrade and exhaust. Really just want a daily driver that's still somewhat fun to drive.

Took the Polo down to Rob Bliss Exhausts in Brisbane, got myself a rear muffler delete done on my 77tsi. Loving it.
Here's a little vid of me giving it a rev; hope there's no art to revving cause I have no idea

Installed my dectane lights today very happy with the result. Took me about 15mins to do all the wiring and install. Pretty basic stuff with the instructions from fastlane. Someone who has done any type of electrical work such as installing a stereo or speakers will have no problem doing the install. Need to get some good photos later when its not raining and i get my camera out.

My car didnt come with foglights but im going to be fitting a set. I got this set of eBay so i decided to test its fitment. Pretty average fitment and im not to happy with it but hopefully a bit of fiddling around when i do the full install will get them sitting flush.

I reckon fog lights are a waste of money as you can only use them when conditions allow it.

Commonly called Wan++r lights up here. Look nice but useless

The stormtroopers in QLD are fining people for all sorts of minor things and this is one of them.

Leaving car unattended with window partly down is another one. Driving with on your lap is worth nearly $300 and 3 points.

    Tail lights look nice though

Possibly they are usefull where you get fog? Plenty of places North, South & West of Sydney that often get the low white stuff. Even Sydney gets fogged in for several mornings every year. While not essential, they are helpful if fitted. I particularly like the corner turning & coming on with the blinker function on mine.

I think the rear fog light is more useful though - I use mine a lot in heavy rain, etc.

Unattended with partly open windows is an offense? Why? What do they do if you own a mini Moke or a convertable? Is having the sunroof partly opened an offense too? I do both all the time in hot weather. It sounds like one of those laws that needs to be contested & taken off the books.

Driving with what on your lap? Your dog? Your phone? Your missus? Your kids? The mind boggles.

This has been all over the news recently and I find it quite surprising that there could actually be a more nanny state than Victoria...but Queensland is certainly giving it a nudge lately.

Australia in general is nanny country! everything is either racist or against the law. Its going to be a country were expressing your opinion will soon be illegal

Its against the law to leave your car unlocked if you are more than 3m away. I guess windows being open is classed as unlocked.
