Probably just placebo. But the dsg fart and the sound when you hit the gas is awesome.

Hi Gavs - ive seen you mention the comment regarding air filters before, and i agree that there is some trade off in filtering ability to increase flow, but i found this test and thought it was interesting. K&N performed very well. Some of the big name Jap brand filters were not so good.

Lucas, How did all those filters compare with an equivalent surface area OEM paper filter? Until you have that as a baseline the other filters flow rates & filtering capacity can only be compared amongst themselves. ie: The K&N might filter the best but if that's 20% worse than an OEM paper filter then the decrease in filtering might be unacceptable to many people.
