A picture of the steering wheel control I added a couple of months ago: really simple to be installed on GTI, because of the paddles presence, is enough to buy the controls (pulsanti comandi doppi --> 5K0998537B 108,08€ +vat) and everything is already prepared to receive it...
Really useful, permits to have new funcion on the board computer dispaly while driving and beautiful because red backlit.
Chack the correct code part for your car, becase may be different if you have or not the board computer...

Here a quick tutorial from our Italian forum: steering wheel control

I think in Europe the multifunction steering wheel is an optional extra. Where as here its standard equipment. So he has installed the steering wheel post delivery.

Sorry guys, I didn't know was a standard equipment there...

So you always have this kind of steering wheel on any type of Polo or is standard only for GTI...?

Ahh ok, no worries. I spent a while looking at it and thinking I just couldnt see what the extra part/s was LOL. Standard on all i think as we have BT phone throughout the range as standard now. Someone will chime in who knows better perhaps?

quite like that one, but have my eye on another set at the moment... more fitting to the possible work to come .

But to fit with the topic, am taking off my Forge BOV kit now, since the recall was done, its either hitting vacuum at cruising speed or there’s more boost now than the spring can handle, have combed the engine bay for possible boost leaks and can’t find any so I’m at a loss ... Just need to replace the split o-ring from the turbo to the stock charge pipe that the service department left me.
