    Just got quoted $580 a corner for 17" Detroits from Brisbane Volkswagen Parts... sobbing...

    Maybe I could buy one at a time?

    There's usually some on ebay and even on here. Don't lose hope.

    They're usually around $1000 for mint cond new ones straight off a car.

    Be warned about weight on replicas though...... Stock polo gti wheel with rubber is 20kgs...

    Just did some testing/checking around before the weekend Tempe Tyres wheels are 18kg per corner with rubber/air at 38PSI.

    I'm sure the weight would be much the same as the denver's though. The VW Motorsport wheels are a bit lighter though....

    I believe they weigh approx. 10-12kg. I got the listing for vw wheels. But im at work so can't pull it up to check

    New springs make the car a little more bouncy, but around corners? Sticks like glue, flat as buggery...
    The steering has been firmed up too - you can feel where the wheels are now.

    Rotated the tyres today, also opened up the airbox, pulled stock filter out and gave it a good clean, car feels tad more responsive now
