Dude, there is no way they can adjust camber or toe on the rear. Its a twist beam rear end (Net build design)
The best they can do is manipulate the subframe position (no need unless you get rear ended)

The front will only have toe adjustment via the steering rack. And if the tie rods weren't moved when the springs were changed over (they have no reason to be), then toe should be fine also. Get it checked by all means, but dont bend over and accept a charge for a full alignment.

Ok, thyis is a comment for all of the 6R polo owners, if anyone charges you for a wheel alignment, you take a print out of the picture on the last page I posted and ask EXACTLY what have they aligned.

This has been brought up amny a time in the Mk4 Golf section of the forum and the basic suspension design on the 6R polo is the same. Many a suspension shop have "aligned" a Mk4 golf but they actually can't, like the manual says (which is the actual VW service manual!) the camber cannot be adjusted, the only thing that can be adjusted is the toe on the front wheels.

One suspension place told a Mk4 owner that their car had been in a severe accident because they couldn't do a proper wheel alignment. The owner had owned the car for the life of the vehicle and never pranged it! It's a general school of though amongst these so-called experts that work at these places that this is the normal thing to do........ On a commodore or falcon, yeah. Not on a VW and this is why those of us who have been around on this forum for a while always suggest you go and speak to a proper VW expert, not a generic shop.

Atypic, being in Melourne, go and speak with any of the following, they will tell you the truth, if any of them have been able to get a good look at a ^r polo yet:

    Volkscare in bayswater
    Volkspower in burwood
    AudiVolks in Huntingdale

Any of these places will know what they're talking about

Really want to see those wheels on your car, and see it lowered
Here is my car with the H&R 20/35mm springs installed. Just took a quick profile snap tonight but more to come on the weekend.

For me...I don't think any photo can do it justice. The car really does look superb in the flesh and it feels just awesome with the new springs.

Cheers guys. As good as the wheels look in the photo...its hard to see the real detail of the spoke design. The time attack lines also match the grill perfectly which was the intention.

On another note, I was driving on the Ring rd last night where Geelong rd merges in, and this terd on green P plates in a 2 tonne trady truck enters, cuts across 3 lanes and drops smack bang in between me and the car infront in the right lane. After giving him the air fist, he then pulls across left one lane to let me past, proceeds to drop back in right behind me and sit half a metre off my ass for the next 4 km until I exited onto Ballarat rd.

I managed to see through the mud covering his rego number so I'm gonna play dobber today and ring the cops. However I'm sure nothing will come of it but flogs like this shouldn't be on the roads.

Ditto, about the wheels! I reckon they'd look great on a black one, too... Fantastic!
