Did you make sure that the PCD of your aftermarket wheels was the same as the oem pcd for your car?

Hey. I bought Fox MS006 wheels. They website says compatible with the car and I put in the bolts.
I took it to a garage today who have confirmed that I'd all the bolts on right currently and they torqued them - as you guys said it should be done - I'm slightly more confident now
They did say that one of my tyres was flat and appeared to not be sealed correctly (so they took the tyre off and put it back on) and they've pumped them all up and said to monitor the pressure over the next few days. Buying a wee gadget after work to keep and eye on them.
If they change then I guess I'm calling the wheel guys and seeing what to do.
Hopefully the wheels no longer come off haha. But I'm still nervous
I have, it happened to my uncle driving to Geelong from Melbourne. It was their dogs in the back that alerted them to something being wrong, they started going mental in the back of the car so he started to pull over to get them to calm down (2 German shepherds going mental in a station wagon wouldn't be fun!) when he noticed one of the rear wheels go rolling by....
It can happen but there's always a very good reason why they come off...

I've had it happen shed-loads of times. Working at a tyre shop with a brain-dead tyre fitter will do that for you. I hit him once after doing a road test in the back streets doing 120kmh trying to isolate a steering wobble. Came back to the shop & the rear wheel fell off in the driveway. My life flashed before my eyes & I belted him.

We had one of our workshop muppets use a rattle gun on the wheel studs of a Hyundai once, our biggest torque wrench goes to 400Nm an it STILL couldn't undo the studs!!

Wow! Well those stories are reassuring that I'm not a complete buffoon alone then
I hope I just forgot to tighten those five (still think that's unlikely though!!!) and that's the end of matters !
Painting the rear drums black tomorrow as they are well rusty!!! VW must use cheap paint
Don't paint the part where the wheel touches the hub (or just give it a really light coat).
You never said if you were using hub rings or just centring off the nuts?
