Use the Philips led like these.
Philips X-treme Vision LED W5W T10 6000k (Twin Pack) | Car Bulbs Direct
I have them in and there error free.
Installed Osram Nightbreaker's for the 4 front headlights, and Osram LED 'no error' W5W's for the parkers.
LEDs give an error
Is there an easy fix?

Try disabling cold diagnostics in "Cent Electronics" on the parking light option. This would be your best bet - or return them
Shoot Fastlane a PM - he has a been tinkering around with these settings
I looked at those, then flipped a coin & bought the osram's as I thought they'd be a better match with the Nightbreaker's.
Threw out the packaging too FFS
EDIT: Looks like the Philips & Osram w5w's are pretty much the same, not sure why the Osram's would give an error if your Philps are fine. I'll try the Osram's in my R32, if they work without error I'll order the Philips for the Polo.

Yes you could, there are steering wheels that have the R look without flappy paddles. The cluster I have purchased comes standard on the R-line Polo The steering wheel is naturally for a MKVI Golf R however what I love best is that you can basically use any steering wheel...although you'll need VW to do the coding (in order to keep warranty and remain road worthy in case of an accident).
Why does VW need to do the coding? why can't i or some VCDS geek?

When it comes to airbag modules and your direct safety, leave it to the pros who will have a paper trail of them carrying out the works in case one day "touch wood" you have a massive head on collision that way you're safe in terms of insurance, possible compensation etc.
Also the cluster has to be done by VW as the only way to remove the cluster is by removing the entire front internal section of the dash board in order to gain access to the screws, lock nuts behind the original cluster. That and they need to calibrate the new cluster to the factory settings of the original Polo.
Hmmm I think personally I'd rather have someone I know do it, rather than some chap at VW. My experiences with the dealership are terrible and the mistakes I've seen could have been avoided so easily.
Plus I know they will charge a left testicle to do it.

Yeah I want to keep my left testicle they just took my right for my 60k service.
There is a guy on the UK forums who sells and install clusters, and only charges 200pound. Which i can see just really covering the cost of the item without much mark up. so it couldnt be too hard to install
If you could find someone to do the install and then got VW to do coding would be a whole lot cheaper, for both the steering wheel and cluster
Or i could get someone to do both :O
