Angry What is the final solution for high oil usage?

I'm been driving my 2012.5 gti for about 30000 km, dealer had change some engine part due to the high oil usage which is about 1L per 900km. Now the problem still here.
What should I do now, I'm hoping dealer can do something to solve this problem permanently.
Is there any one got it problem solved?
    Any suggestion?

So they did an oil test, found that it was too high, made some change (breather pipe?) and now it's still using tons of oil? If so go back to the dealer, get another oil consumption test and when it comes back too high demand an engine change.

get another oil test. Demand politely but firmly that they fix it.

They'll need a short engine to do this - just putting in new rings in an already worn bore will do nothing as you can't hone the bores & there's no abrasive surface for the rings to key into.

you need to give them ample opportunity to fix it & if they can't improve it then you can demand compensation using the ACCC guidelines/rules.

Last time, they clam they had the engine changed,I wait for 3 weeks to get the engine shipped from German.
That is what they told me. However, it doesn't seem to have any improvement on oil consumption.

The only true solution is a new engine. If they have done this and it still hasn't worked, then you have recourse to demand a refund on the purchase of the vehicle. An engine replacement is considered as the last option and if it's still burning oil then all they can do is another new engine. At this point I would contact the ACCC and explain the situation so they have it on record. Explain that you are now at your wit's end, you have given VGA ample opportunity to fix the problem which they haven't, so you would like to pursue a refund of the vehicle.

Seeing as others have successfully done this I would hope that you have no issue getting a refund (if that is what you're after) from the dealership. If they cause you grief, then you will have already lodged a case file with the ACCC.

Due to this being anoth oil consumption thread, I have now locked it. Please refer to the existing oil consumption thread for future reference.
