What is the differences between standard polo and polo gti

    Hi there,

do anyone knows what is the differences between standard polo and polo gti engine, polo gti is with twin turbo, can we just simply add an external turbo to that standard polo and force it to 180hp? Or their engine's principle basically and technically are not the same.

    Cheers

Really? Really? Trolling? Different engine altogether. And which standard polo do you refer to?

If op is actually being serious
    1. Please do some of your own research before asking silly questions

    2. if you have to ask you probably dont have the technical know how to even start thinking bout this stuff.

otherwise can a mod delete this thread. Thanks.

Your 1.4tsi has a supercharger and a turbo charger. This I known as "twincharge", it is not a twin turbo.

Yes, you could add a turbo to the base model 1.6 engine but the cost of doing so versus the gains is most likely not worth it.

The same goes for the 1.2tsi. Trying o add a supercharger or another turbo is not cost effective no matter how you look at it due to fabrication cost etc.

And if it were that easy and cheap, they would be all over Europe by now.
