Where on earth do I start? My wife:

Slams the door - despite constant reminders

When not slamming the door, fails to correctly close the door, needs multiple attempts

    Drives backwards into trees

    Runs out of fuel

Turns the air con off (Mazda3) and then I wonder why I get dehydrated next time using the car
(My Octavia resets everything to default everytime you start the car so this does not happen)

Leaves all the shoes that have been worn during the week in the front and back foot wells
(It's really embarassing when giving a lift to a friend or guest)

Drives into a single large rock in the middle of a large road destroying the tire and bending the alloy wheel
Me "remember the driving course I took you on, the man said the car goes where you look" - Wife "yes"
Me "you watched the rock right up to hitting it" - wife "yes"

Years ago in a manual, I'm going through a 5 street intersection and was changing gears
Wife wanted to get into the storage box between the front seats - my elbow blocked access during the gear change
Rather than wait until I've finished changing gear, shes grabs the lid an pulls up/down quickly hammering my elbow, no please, no patience, no respect for car control or safety

Puts mascare on at the lights - leaves inch long mascara lines on the cream/fur roof lining
Makes no attempt to fix the stain - does not tell me about the stain
I find out 4 weeks later - argument - I do my best to remove the stain (90%)

Does a u-turn and hits the curb on the other side (wide street, little Mazda 3)

Thank goodness we have two cars now!
2012.1 Skoda Octavia VRS DSG Wagon - Carbonio cold air intake and pipe - HPA Motorsports BBK 355mm rotors 6 pot calipers
APR Stage II ECU - APR 3" exhaust down pipe & high flow catalyst
APR/HP Roll bars - Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks
Supaloy lower control arms - Enkei 18*8 Wheels

There are two trains of thought on that one.

During my time at an automotive manufacturer leaving the car in gear was a formal warning event so as to prevent damage to other cars. However on many mine sites not leaving the car in gear will get you escorted off site (thier thinking is a car in gear and turned off is very unlikely to move with nobody in it).

Personally I don't leave cars in gear. Hang up from my manufacturing days..

But getting back on topic my wife insists on using the climate control as a refigeration unit. When she gets in the car imediately turns it down to coldest then up then down. And then whinges that the climate control dosen't keep the air at a comfortable temp.

My wife always leaves the sun visor part way down. I jumped in the car the other day and nearly took my bloody ear off.

That and turning my music off in favour of some crappy radio station.

Some older diesel cars can actually start them selfs if there left in gear and the hand break fails/left off on a slope. Seen it a few times with old land rovers with no fuel cut.

But on to the misses. I like my arm rest down and have no problem releasing/applying hand break with it down but she can seem to work it out.
So when I jump in and go to lean on it I just smack my elbow on the hand brake.
And the sun screen she left on her hands which ended up all over the sun visor and door handle.

Women and cars dont mix. Sometimes my wife tries to get in my car. Annoys the crap out of me. 4 months and 9 days of ownership and she has been allowed in 6 times. I've actually only welcomed her in 3 times.

The other 3: 2 occasions due to drinking too much at a party. (lift home and lift back to get her car the next day). Last time was a fortnight ago. We were on our way out the garage (late) to my daughters athletics meet and the lancer had a flat tyre. Had to do a quick car swap. Not happy.

She hates my obsession with the Polo. Unlucky.

this, so much. have hit my head so many times. One time she put my visor down while i was driving preventing me form seeing any road at all, but its ok, the sun wasn't in her eyes anymore.

not so much the polo as i dont give her much chance to drive it,but with the pajero if it was raining when she has gets home she will just turn off the car and leave the wipers where they stoped when the ignition is turned off.so the next time you turn the car on the wipers run dry......

what did your partner do/think they were going to do in your car....

Hmmm, I'm going to lock this thread now guys. I don't want to seem like a buzzkill, but I think it's heading in a direction we don't really want to head towards, especially in relation to our female members as this has become quite a one sided topic.
