Yes if you want to launch the 6r gti turn traction control off, pull the handbrake up , dial in 3.2k rpm let go of the hand brake and off you go! They launch pretty hard at this rpm as the turbo is in full swing

Question I have a 6R GTI. I have tried to load the motor to launch and all it will do is just above idle. it will not go over idle. How do i get it to 2000 to 3000rpm to launch

Take your foot off the brake and use your hand brake to stall the converter up instead.

I wouldn't reccomend this guys because the dsg isn't an auto, there is no converter in it. Maybe once or twice in the life of the car unless you upgrade the clutch packs in the gearbox.....

Could someone please point me to a thread on this forum in regard to driving tips for caring for a DSG transmission.
I know the DSG is a very different transmission to an automatic one and I want to look after mine.
