Vw bluetooth kit and blackberry 9900 issues

Basically the bluetooth worked the first day at pick up with my blackberry 9900, then the second time I used the car it was fine, then the third time it kept restarting and it hasn't stopped restarting since.

I did read on the internet that it maybe due to my blackberry and how it stores its files, but I deleted my calls logs, cleared the connections, reconnected etc but still having the bluetooth system continuously restarting.

I'm assuming it could also be a software issue, but seems it worked first two times and no updates on my mob or bluetooth, I'm starting thinking its probably not and that it is infact my mob.

    Bluetooth versions;

    Bow sw 0159
    Bow how 0002
    Display sw 0253
    Display hw 0709

Plan to contact my vw garage tomorrow when they are back open, I really need this bluetooth working and I'm not linking up an old Nokia just for people to be able to ring me and I can't ring them (not putting credit on it)

    Any ideas guys?

so you hook up a nokia and it works everytime? if it doesnt then id speak to your dealer.

if it does i'd back up your blackberry and do a factory reset and see if that works.

Any chance of borrowing another BlackBerry off someone and seeing if that hooks up?

^^^ sounds like a good idea, if you can find one.
Can't speak to BB at all, and didn't ind any answers with a quick google search, but I used to have this issue with a Nokia.
Contacted Nokia support and it was a known issue, with firmware/software fix solving it.
Calling BB might be faster than a visit to VW.

I'd also say with about 95% certainty that this is not a VW issue, but more a handset one.
Also - not being 100% sure of what car/setup you have - if you have a touch adaptor - try pairing with the MFD. Steps here

Going to try my Nokia 6300 once it's charged up lol, I'll try a different blackberry on the weekend (only time I can get access to it). I definitely think its my mobile as it worked perfect the first day, then when downhill. Also my vw bluetooth doesnt restart when my mobile isnt connected. I pressed factory reset on vw bluetooth, still no help.

I have a Polo Gti, with normal rcd315? Player. How do I access my signature? Can't find it on my profile.

    Worked fine on Nokia.

I managed to get it to work on my blackberry in the end by rolling back my operating system on my blackberry, so I've lost some of the newer things that the newest os provided but at least it's working. It doesn't read out texts anymore though, which sucks a bit, but I can live without that.

Planning to get an iPhone in December anyway.

Car in general, I'm loving it, had my first go in sport mode today, it's lethal , feels as quick, if not quicker than my old 205hp cupra. Also got over 380miles out of my first tank, well pleased with that, hopefully it'll get even better.

You'd be surprised, once you get used to driving it, your foot wont chew fuel as much and u will find you get more and more kms per tanks. However this is a fairytale, we all know its impossible not too have a fang
