Thread: VW Australia Customer Service now managing Polo GTi order wait enquiries and updates

I ordered in March. The ''estimate'' in NADCON tells me 5 months. So the chances of getting the car then is good, remote, unlikely ?

5 months until they start building the car? or 5 months until the car is expected to be in Australia?

I ordered my GTI in mid February and I haven't received a call from VW Australia yet. Although I purchased mine as a fleet sale through a broker so I might not be on VW's customer list. My last update from the dealer was in early July with no ETA dates on NADCON as yet. Time to chase up another update...

Ordered mine in late April. Received a call 3 days ago. Came up as private number, they had my surname incorrect, claimed they were from VW Australia. Wanted my email details. I told them that all the information they wanted should have been available from the dealer, Denlo. Makes you wonder who's talking to whom. Very unprofessional, I refused to give details and asked for a call-back number. Rang through and the initial automated response was a blurb from VW Australia, eventually got onto the same guy that called me originally. I gave my details and asked him a few questions, he couldn't elaborate on anything, not even an expected delivery.

I ordered a GTI late April. Was told 10-12 months delivery. Got the call from VWA today and told my car is still awaiting allocation of a production date.

So, if I'm reading this thread correctly, March- April 2011 orders are still awaiting build dates?

Hmmm, it's been 5 months already. If it was a car already in the system as a dealer order and your spec happened to match it, it might be a reasonable time frame. If yours was a copletely new, different order, not matching a car in the pipeline, I'd say unlikely.

Where is your "dot" at now on the screen dump?

Just received my call this morning. They said my car was being built next week, and after that shipping from europe to australia will take roughly 10 weeks.

Will keep me updated about progress via email etc etc.

Very helpful person on the phone too i might add
