I used to be think that, but ive ordered a lot of cars over the years and if they werent available from stock the wait (even in Europe) ranged from a few weeks to many months. Of course, I'd rather not wait at all either, but such is life i guess. Longest I ever waited was for a Lotus Elise, about 7 months but it demand was high back then even in the UK and I had a few special orders on that car. Audi was about 3months but mostly cos the company ordering dept was slow and the leasing company was slower. A spec'd up WRX I ordered from Japan via Holland, to save on UK importers cut and Taxes was 4months from build to delivery, by the time it arrived I had new wheels, brakes, engine mods etc etc all lined up on the garage shelf! So sometimes the pain of the wait can be alleviated but also expensive LOL!

I was playing around with the Touch Adaptor and the integrated "VW Phone" 9w7 bluetooth, and I've now got it set so that the phone automatically pairs with the 9w7 after I unpaired the Touch Adaptor from the phone. Unfortunately, if the adaptor is removed, the entire bluetooth system including 9w7 disconnects.
I don't mind the Touch Adaptor sitting there. At least now the phone contacts and BT-audio are fully functional

    Hi iigx

I thank you for the post - I got my VW just before easter. I tried to set the bluetooth up and I had the same problem.

what a weird set up! the touch adapter is useless! but you still need it to operate the the bluetooth and BT-audio

other than that the BT works perfectly! love it

my car is going in for its 6 month service (seems so soon) in 3 months, and VW are going to remove the touch adaptor cabling for me so I can remove it from the holder yet still use the 9w7 bluetooth.

i'll let everyone know how it goes.

Won't it leave a hole in the dash? Hopefully it doesn't though because i really hate those ugly adapters.

I still think someone may be able to make something that covers it up. Once I get my GTI, I will be going to have a chat with some of the local car upholsterers to see what car be done.

I will be interested to find out how you go. I have taken my car twice to the Dealer and the last answer from "VW" was its not possible to remove the adaptor / cabling and still use the 9W7.
