If that is Hexis vinyl just aware the thicker the vinyl is – and Hexis is thicker – there is a higher probability it will not seal as good into crevices and corners which may mean you get a shorter warranty period on the wrap itself.

The guy who did my car advised me of this.

That does certainly make sense. But at least I think I got the kind of color I could be asking for - I mean, any lighter blue and I might be entering the feminine region hahaha

I don't think this is your most pressing concern at this point in time.

Ok back on topic. Do you have any suggestion as per the design of the vinyl? Is good vinyl design repository?

Yep I've worked with Hexis and it doesn't have the conformity of the 3m or Avery brands.
My personal favorite is 3m wrap films.

    Vinyl wrap a Polo GTi..?

Vinyl wrapping is a great idea because it doesn't scratch up like paint, it's fairly durable, you can pretty much get whatever colour you want an best of all, it peels straight off so when it comes time to sell, you're not trying to sell a resprayed baby-blue polo instead of a pristine candy white polo.

What I don't understand here is how putting what is in effect a giant blue sticker on a car makes it lucky, considering the car is still white. Kinda like a transvestite, it might have shaved and put makeup and a dress on but under all that false covering, it's still a dude....

Surely for the effect of the lucky colour you would actually have to change the colour of the vehicle? Not just cover it up because irrespective of the outer colour, you open the doors and its white. You open the boot or the bonnet and they're white as well....

With one of these cars, surely the engine bay is specifically where you would want all your luck!

Sorry if that is offensive, with my cultural background I can understand if it is but I just thought I'd throw it out there...

Well, I understand what you meant but the best analogy I could think of is say... everybody looks good with certain colour shirt. Some might look ugly when he put on a pink shirt, some may look respectable with it. Not everything is logical - sometimes it's just about impression.

Despite all this, I doubt this is a good subject for discussion!

Back to topic - What do you guys think of putting 3M matte blue metallic vinyl on the following:

[above is an example of matte blue metallic]

    - spoiler
    - side (with letters say 'GTi' ) with the design below

-on the front grille (originally red, i'll make it blue!)

    - Lastly, on the side mirros!

    Thoughts? Suggestion?

    The blue looks great.

The stripes/graphics on the side look like rice & cheapen look.

I think your best idea is to have a long chat with the people doing the wrap. They'll have a good idea what works & what doesn't

edit: If you didn't want the worth or otherwise of "lucky colours" discussed you probably shouldn't have mentioned it at the start. Simply "I really like lighter blues - what do you suggest?"
