Uncomfortable Trendline Seats MY14 - Is TDI, TSI better

Hello All;

I recently bought the Trendline DSG and am finding it a tad uncomfortable on long trips. I drive 700Km + each week and have found a little back and right discomfort when I get out. I am concerned that i simply went for the cheapest, which may not have been the best plan; however, have any other owners had issues with the Trendline? Is this also an issue with the TSI, TDI, GTI? What did you do to rectify, other than sell the car, I like the drive and the handling - much better than my old Yaris or Getz. However, I drove the Yaris for 90000km and never had these issues.

Trendline, TSI and TDI all have the same seats, just different cloth patterns. The GTI seats are different but remember that you have bought the budget version of the budget model that VW produce, even the GTI seats aren't as good as the highline golf seats. The Golf GTI and especially R seats are amazing.

Unless you want to spend the coin on some recaros (without airbags)etc then I'm afraid you're stuck. Or you can track down some GTI pews that will be slightly more comfy.....

Personally I find the Polo seats are more form fitting than the Passat ones and its the ride of the car that is a bit more harsh.

However at the end of the day 500k in the Passat is more comfortable than the Polo LOL

I agree. On longer trips I find that the side support on the backrest is a bit hard on the ribs. And I wish the seating position was a bit to the right as the left leg sits against the console.

In the official brochure the Comfortline TSI/TDI get comfort front seats the Trendline does not

Highline has higher walls on the seat

The GTI seats have more rib support than the highline seats.

The leather/alcantara seats are all the same though

As gavs said the TSI/TDI get a better quality cloth, but the shape of the seat is the same.

Aside from the fabric the part numbers are the same for all the internal foams for Australian delivered vehicles.
