What tyre, size & profile are you running?
How is your experience with them (wet/dry grip, noisy, sidewall flex, wear etc)
    Where to purchase?

Pretty much anything tyre related I'd like to know. So share away

Different Polo, but just jumped on a pair of Federal 595 Rs-R.

Very well priced for a semi slick from our forum sponsor, helps get the power down.

For a cheap tyre the Kuhmo KU31's are good for the first 10k kms, but they wear poorly on the shoulder if you drive like I do.

Personally I'm interested in the Nokian Z G2. It's made by a finnish company and has some really good reviews (especially braking).

It's also one of the few tyres made in the Polo GTI's size, but the Australian distributor doesn't have them yet. I'm thinking of getting the size in on a special order when I need a new set. They're about $200 a corner.

I just purchased a set of Toyo Proxes T1 Sports in a 225/35/18 from performance alloys in the UK.
Not the cheapest at $250 a corner but its convenient as they're coming with the rims.
The reviews on this tyre are really good so we'll wait and see when they come in.

Unfortunately there was a long wait for my initial choices of the Eagle F1 Assymmetric 2 and the continental sport contact 5's

+1 for Nokians! They're a fantastic tyre, but no one knows what they are. Perhaps they should have kept their name as "Nokia" haha

Toyo Proxes T1 sport tyres on my Golf - 205/55/R16

Grips very well but at the cost of road noise. Have had them for 25000kms with plenty of remaining tread.

    The TYRE discussion thread

Guys, I'm closing this thread as we have an entire area of the forum dedicated to wheels, tyres and suspension. I understand that it is not specifically located in the Polo 6R area of the forum but there is a wealth of knowledge present in that area.
