    Trip computer

I've just got a 77 TSI and I'm wondering can you access any sub-menus via the wiper stalk or is it what you see is what you get? With my MKV GTI Golf and B7 Passat you can get into sub-menues and change settings. (via steering wheel buttonsw) All I seem to be able to do is scroll up and down the displays.

And yes I have read the manual and as usual not all the information applies to all the models. An example is that I have outside temp instead of engine temp. What is it with no tempreture gauge??

As far as I know, what you see is what you get unfortunately. All other settings need programming through VCDS.

Ive got one and you cant change much at all. Even with a VCDS there isnt too much you can do on mine.

We tried to alter speedo and it would take lesser numbers which made it further out but couldnt get it closer'

Tried to get DRL but said it would but didnt..

Certainly hasnt got a full MFD like the more upmarket models.

Don't forget it isn't a more upmarket model. It's the bottom of the range city car. For what you pay in terms of VW money and what you get is a cracking little car. I've just come from a MKV GTI and I'm very impresed with this car. I was expecting to be underwhelmed but it's much better than I expected.
