So I'm patiently waiting for delivery of a Polo GTI in January, but this morning I receive an email from the dealer informing me my new car has arrived at the dealer - WHA??? Turns out there was a bit of a mix-up and my name was put against two vehicles. All good though, my car is scheduled for build week 44 and is on track for Jan delivery as requested
I suspect there might be a surplus vehicle at the dealer now though so if anyone knows anyone who is after immediate delivery on a Candy White 5-door with pano roof (presuming it's the same spec as my ex-factory order) it might be worth a call to Melbourne dealers, just on the off chance they have one in stock

Picked mine up this afternoon. Had awesome fun driving it home from the dealer. I gave it a good old flogging once it was up to temp. I might have to go for a bit of a drive this long weekend

Hi newbie here from UK - Has anyone tried using the tracking for UK bound VW's - Ordered my VW Polo and is now waiting waterside. I am obsessively entering my VIN number in the hope it will eventually show up

should work the same, only the sea journey is about 1day from Bremhaven to S'ton...

Of course, 2 days after posting this my car pops up on the Track & Trace. It has left Bremen, is stopping in South Africa on 14/12 and is due in Melbourne on 4/1. Hopefully I'll have my hands on it in time for the Australia Day long weekend (Vic Alps here I come!).



Sorry to drag up an old thread (again). I feel like I'm about to arrive late to the party - about 2 years late! Not quite the heady excitement found at the front end of this discussion, but still exciting for me now delivery is getting closer.

Anyway, the dealer tells me my car is due into Melbourne on 2 Jan but I'm still getting "No records found" on the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Track and Trace when I enter my VIN into the Cargo ID field.

Can anyone give me an idea of the transit time from Europe (GTI from Spain)? I had it in my head it was in the region of 6 weeks which should have my car on the water already. Build was scheduled for Week 44 and we're into Week 48 now, but I didn't bother getting NADCON screenshots as it progressed so I haven't had any direct info about it other than the confirmed due date from the Stock Controller.

Not sure if I should double-check whether the VIN I've been given is correct or whether I need to just keep patiently checking the T&T site daily until something pops up. VIN is in the format WVWZZZ6RZDY######, so that's what I punched into the Cargo ID field - I presume that's how it's done? I confess I haven't trawled through the whole thread, so apologies if this has been covered way back...
