Tracking Progress on your Polo and Polo GTI

Any guys out there expecting polo gti in December this year? I'm waiting for mine via highway VW in springwood sth of Brisbane. Should I be concerned about sales staff info or not. Young bloke I'm dealing with seems pretty genuine. Was wondering if there were any springwood customers out there? Cheers

It sure is Gumpf. It sure is. Especially since the car i was driving beforehand was a 15 years old. I was drooling when my dealer was explaining all the features.

If you're expecting the car in december, you would be hoping that it is either on a boat now, or just about to be loaded on. Hit up your "genuine" salesperson for the VIN of the car, if they give you any excuse as to why they cannont provide it, I would say that you have been told porkies. If you get your VIN, then it's a pretty good confirmation that the car is built or at least it's going down the production line.

Also you may receive the e-mail from VGA saying your car is built here is your VIN. they did that for me the week after the car finished production and was waiting at the actual docks.

I bought mine from Springwood (Ordered Dec. 2010, Delivered July 2011) Overall I was pretty happy with the service, and apart from a couple of minor things, were pretty accurate about when my car would arrive.
