Sent an email to the person I am dealing with (personal fleet) and got the response of the car was built early May 2011. Late June or early July arrival time expected. 3 weeks from the docks to the dealership, then another week of adding the optional extras. Delivery expected early July. I was hoping to have it by late June. Not happy Jan
I would ha.ve liked the VIN number so that I could track it on the high seas!

No worries, will do. Have asked my dealer to let me know when it is available just in case I can collect it early. Will let you know as soon as I know.

I'm the same as Joe! I am so disappointed I won't get the car this weekend but take comfort in that I know it's only one week away. Next week is going to be a very slow week!

I know I am in Brisbane and things are different here but my dealer told me yesterday that my car should be available 5-10 days after arrival in port.

ps that means I will have the car before the end of the month...Yahooo!

Good luck, I hope you're right because Melbourne is supposedly the least affected by those slack union workers for Patrick autocare who think that they too are being hard done by at the warfs....

Didja hear they are chasing 6% pa increases for 3 years without any ties to productivity increases, I mean hell, what world do they live in down at the docks?

And 13% Superannuation when the rest of us have to settle for 9%. Fair enough, if I was working some of the bulls**t shifts that they have to work for the relatively poor pay, I'd be peeved, but in my opinion this is, what gives them the right to believe that they are entitled to more super contributions from their employer with no increase in productivity?

So they think they are better and more important then I am? Are they more entitled than I am? Does their s**t not stink, do they bleed liquid gold or something???

I've said it once and I'll say it again as an ex-union member:

Unions have killed the Australian manufacturing industy and are the biggest hypocrites when it comes to complaining about manufacturing jobs going off shore.
