    OK All,
Very promising news. Just received the latest NADCON from my dealer. The car Exited the Production Plant on 21/3/11 and Arrival Port of Shipment on 22/3/11(that's where the little dot is at the moment). According to the NADCON, it says the Departure Port of Shipment on 29/3/11. My dealer and I seem to agree that there is a very strong possibility that it will be on the Toreador on the 29th, I guess time will tell, this point in the process is killing me!!!!!!!

Hey payno, the ETA was correct as soon as it left Antwerp, seems like it has changed once it got out to open water?

Just my 2cents, I was lucky enough to buy one that was being offloaded in Perth (Fremantle Harbour)

BUT I had to wait 4 weeks for my Polo. It took Customs 2 weeks to check if it is a car with 4 wheels...and then another 2 weeks for VM to do the PDC (Pre-delivery check)

    Sorry for the bad news..

No, not bad news at all, but as expected. We know it will take at least 2 weeks to get compliance and then another 2 weeks to get it from the dealer. We are all very well versed with the procedure via the Golf forum members experience

I personally think it's a shame that the Comfortline Polo isn't available in 3 door in this country. I've always had 3 doors cars and you can find my many posts in the 3 vs 5 door threads in the Golf forum. But I have a mate who is 6'5" odd, and at the motorshow he jumped in the Polo GTI and LOVED it. However, it doesn't want to spend as much as the Polo GTI and has no interest in "sport cars" so he'd like a Polo 1.2TSI. But he had much difficulty getting into the 5 door model. He has to have the seat so far back that the B pillar is blocking his view out the side of the car (to give you an idea of how far back he needs ot sit), and so getting in and out he needs to "squeeze" between the B Pillar and steering wheel and place is butt on the edge of the seat, then slide backwards, then bring his legs in the car... so VW have lost a sale...

I think VW need to focus on building enough of the existing Polo models before expanding the offering given they can't even deliver on what they're selling now. The lack of stock and long delivery times is causing much more in the way of lost sales than a 3 door 77TSI.

(Three doors are fine, my current car is 3 door, previous car had 2 doors, but at some point kids come along and you need more doors).

Well, no need to track now. My GTI is sitting in the driveway. I got it today. Very happy. You guys will not be disappointed.
