Is that for the GTI only?

I rang up John Hughes a month ago and they said the wait on the TSI is 5 months, then I headed over to DVG Melville and they managed to organise a flash red 77tsi for me with an ETA of early September! Im beginning to feel super lucky for scooping up 1, cant believe 26 months jeeeeeez

I received my Vin Number yesterday and found out my car will be MY12. I tried to trace it on the website provided on this forum as my dealer said my car is on the water as we speak and is due to arrive here on the 5th October, but when I typed my VIN in the Cargo ID it keeps coming up no record found

is there something I may be doing wrong?

If it's not showing as having a record when you enter it into the cargo field, your dealer is (surprise surprise) lying to you and it's not on the water. YOur tracking record will generally show up within the first day of it being scanned onto the boat, sorry dude but you're dealer is riding you

Damn! I was affraid that was going to be the answer! oh well I guess I just have to keep an eye out n try again later on to see when shes on the boat down here! Wow! never had to wait for a car below, its annoying buy exciting lol!

Yes, GTI. I believe the wait on Golf R is about the same (2yrs~)

To give you an idea, the ship my car was loaded on departed from South Africa on 31 May and it arrived in Melbourne Ports on 17 June (with a stopover in Freo). Car was ready for pick up from the dealership on 5 July.

Others have had to wait longer once their car was offloaded, whilst others sooner. Hope yours is one of the sooners

My ship just left Durban two days ago and is due on the 20th August, so there may be still hope, since yours in made in South Africa. When it was loaded in Germany it showed up within a day.

Mind you if it arrives in Melbourne on the 5th, then it definitely is not on the water, as it only takes about 18 days from South Africa to Melbourne, accordingto the schedules
