He did not look carefully before purchasing.

Should have gotten the set from VAG-Link for $100+ more.

He's now trying to sell the set, we fitted them onto his car last night and oh my .... I almost lost my dinner.

Did some google and the company "GPlast" is based in India.

I think they're the Chinese sourced ones and they just mount directly onto the plastic...

Could be the Philips daylights - they come as 4 or 8 - this looks like 4 leds. Their brochure actually shows them cut into a Polo 6R. The template would allow someone to cut these flush into the outer grills.

My buddy is requesting for a refund from eBay seller.

Avoid this set, FOG LIGHTS LAMP GRILLE SET FOR VW POLO MK5 6R 2010- | eBay

Buddy learnt the hard way, G-Plast did a piss poor job with the grille (poor fitment) and the lights are badly sealed!

Damn lights condensed and filled with water after a short drive in light drizzle!!

There are many cars here with this mod and some look pretty awkward, some of these lights are slightly curved.

Here are pics of Korean made ones.
