    more information....

when running they dyno the traction control system kept faulting... ABS kept faulting... turned ASC off but it kept pulling up faults and re-enabling itself at higher speeds...

first off we couldn't get it to change gear... had to power off and start again to let us change gears...

had a look at cars with similar hardware but other tunes and they are pulling much more 179kw (flywheel)...

    any ideas?

i dont know too much about the polos yet, looking to get one, but when i was tuning my supercharged fiesta, the abs kept cutting us out. we pulled abs fuses, no go, then we pulled single abs fuses as i had three. it was one of the three fuses stopping me from doing dyno runs

    may be something to try.

It wouldn't like the front wheels turning without the back ones.

Are you sure about other Polos doing 179kw, the Golf R does 188 std at the crank!

I kind of frowned when reading that too

7 speed DSG we find it best to pull the ABS fuse to allow it to run cleanly on the dyno. You will need to clear all codes when finished & the fuse is replaced.

Do you have a before and after dyno run? As that is really the best/only way to compare the changes made. On a previous car, one dyno read 145kw at all four wheels, I than added exede engine management with all tuning done on a (different) dyno, producing something in the 130's at all four. The car was quicker and stronger, so dyno's are a tuning tool only and great for showing power delivery, though wouldn't worry about one figure to the next so much unless it's apples and apples.

That looks like a MAHA dyno data to me - reads totally different to any other dyno. Didn't even know there was one in WA? if there is, thats awesome

I'd say the APR stage 1 tune figures should be a good estimate of the power delivery, I understand you've then gone added an intake and exhaust, but the APR Project Polo claims 165kw, so anything approaching those numbers is good. Comparing ATW and hub can be difficult, just like comparing one dyno to another.

Any which way, if it drives well, don't get too worried about dyno's.

It its a MAHA dyno then it calculates crank figures from wheel power minus drivetrain run down. It's an awesome system (that's what the cars were originally measured on) and you can even run in different gears & it will calculate crank the same.
