Anyone tried tweaking the Speedo with VAGCOM? I know it's possible with my mates Mk5 Golf GT and the Work Transporter. Can't remember where it was exactly, probably the cluster module.
And they have 3 other lanes to choose from but noooooo, they have to go in lane 4 because that causes the most havoc. Had a guy in a Magna slow down to 50kph in lane 4 of the 110 zone because I flashed him as i was doing 110 & he was doing 80.
All I want to do is get from point A to point B in a safe manner for the road conditions at the fastest speed possible without breaking the law. It isn't a big ask is it.
And VW speedos suck.
OTOH, when my daughter starts driving, I'll probably put stock diameter tyres back on. Just to give her a bit of wiggle room with the speedo.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums

Logger did a lot of work on this subject: http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/foru...e-40769-4.html
Everything is stock standard....77TSI comfortline
I think it is pretty useless....means all the other information that the computer tries to tell you is wrong too....
THe ADR rule states it can be up to10% fast Plus or minus 4 kph.
If it is 8kph out you will need tyres that are at least 40mm larger than what you have and in QLD at least these would be illegal.
Would also alter gearing to make car slower off the mark etc.
Mine is 7 k fast and drives me nuts.
The Landcruiser I had was spot on at 100kph whichis really handy.
