Software updates when getting a service? 6C GTI - whats your versions?

Guys

Have you guys had your software updated when you got your services done each year? I just got my first service done (cars one year old) and took a photo of my 'System Information' screen beforehand to grab my versions expecting them to update them, but after picking the car up nothing has changed to my surprise, is this what other have experienced? or maybe my car is too new and theres been none in the past year?

My versions are :-

They don't freely do software updates, unless it's part of a campaign (recall), or it is a known fix for a complaint.

Are you on fixed price servicing? If yes, then it’s most likely not a part of the deal.

They don't do it, fixed price or otherwise.

As I said, only if there's a campaign, or a complaint.

just use the discovery map program. It is great, once done you can go through the secret menu on the infotainment unit and see the results of what has bee updated and what hasn't.

yeah mine was fixed price. Seems like Umai said, they only do if they 'have' to. Shame they aren't preventative.

The main reason they don't just do the updates, is if a customer doesn't like the change or is happy with the way things are, it's near impossible to roll back.
