Small oil leak from DSG

Just had wifes 6R serviced and guy said it has a small oil leak from under the tranny. Is not from rear seal but further along towards middle of box he said.

Anyone had this happen and whats entailed in fixing it. Tranny out and $500+ or what

Didn't take you a nice picture of the leak? I'd keep driving. Of there's not enough come out to leave a puddle on your garage floor. It can't be too bad. ��

No because
A. I didnt know it was leaking and
B only found out after car was returned from service.
Has never been any on garage floor so must just be on undertray

I think there is a recall for this issue. Check out car recalls on the government site

Thanks I had done this earlier and our VIN is not in the list but I will take it in to the dealer to check


That leak is within the gearbox and I dont think it leaks to the outside, but I could be wrong, We will see

Here is the pic of the oil leak Guy who serviced it said it looks like possible rear main oil seal as is the colour of engine oil.


What colour is DSG oil as Ive never seen it.

There was a small amount of oil on undertray but none on the floor and it wasnt like that at last service last year and has only done about 4,000km since then
