Still on my first set f brakes @ 47,000km. I changed tyres at about 35,000 even though I still had a bit more tread than required, wanted something better.

Pads are changed if required (hence the brackets).

Shouldnt VW have a fixed price for every service or do dealers just charge what ever they want?

Charge whatever they want. Prices vary greatly

Yikes - new brake pads at 30,000km!!! So glad i swapped out the crummy stock pads for Remsa ones. If i cant get 50,000-60,000km out of these pads ill be ticked off.

I'm at 95,000km on OEM pads with heaps left.

I know nissan have set prices for every service unless something else is required.
