    Ripped Antenna out of roof.

Sadly my garage door has grown a mind of its own and as such my antenna has parted company with my roof. Anybody want to pick a number out of a hat and suggest how much fixing it will cost?

Have a trawl through other forum posts to see if there are recommendations (I seem to recall there are, but cant quickly find them)
Ebay has some for <$10 but buyer beware.

So the cable attached to the antenna has broken. Replacement cost? About 8 hours labour. I'm giving that a miss and will just go without the radio. My poor little Polo!

Whats the go with the Antenna if you want to go thru an automated car wash? Do they unscrew or you can just drive straight in?

I don't think they unscrew. Im guessing they are tough enough to go through a carwash as they said that one had never come off before.

Nah the bracket underneath bent and then the whole thing came through the pre existing hole they cut in the roof for it.

Yep. That's why I haven't been driving it. The poor mrs has had to drive me to work and back. It started very lightly showering when I was dropping it off at VW this morning and I nearly crapped my daks!
