    Remove Polo 6R Rear Seats

Long time, no post. Sorry about that.

Can anybody shed some light on removing the backrests of the 6R Polo? I can remove the bottom part of the seat, but can't figure out how to remove the actual backrest...

Firstly there is a little black cover at the rear between the two halfs. You will need to pull out the top boot floor

Remove this and then remove the torx bit under it. It's a t25 from memory maybe bigger. Then remove the black bracket held by the bolt.

Once you have done this you need to tilt the seats forward and you will see where the seat are held at the side

you will need to use a screwdriver and roll the inner tab back then the seat will lift up.
If you want to pull them out you will need to disconnect the centre seat belt.

Spot on.. I just did the same.. When u put them back on the black clip can be a bit stubborn but it does eventually go back on , just needs some convincing
