Remote Start

Has anyone contemplated or has fitted a remote start to their Polo. I am thinking about it when and if my Polo ever arrives. I have a 3k journey to work and was thinking that if I had remote start I could start the car a few minutes before I leave in the morning and have the engine / oil warm.

3K to work, I'd be walking that or going on a bike. You should just get in the car and drive it, leaving it ticking over won't do it any good. At least drive it a bit extra on the way home to get it properly warmed up.

Remote start + canbus = fail.

Forgetting the canbus, attempting to remote start most modern vehicles that don't have it as a factory feature isn't easy as you inevitably have to bypass the imobiliser.
