Are you 100% sure they didn't just replace it with an existing, non-updated mechatronics unit mate? I'd love to believe that they are honest, but I don't trust any of them any more.

whoa whoa wait...you haven't found a sticker?
That's a non-conformance / legislative breach right there...name and shame if they cannot prove the work was done as its illegal (recall stickers must be easily identified for registered technicians, consumers) for one and fraudulent to mislead you that "safety works" were undertaken!

My info is that the gearbox code was updated and different part numbers were used because of the faults in this specific model unit.
These are the same units that instigated the 37G7 campaign which eventually made it across all models of mechatronics unit. Maybe the same will happen in secret with 35C1, who knows....

Ok so stupid me couldn't find the damn sticker. It was there all along and its on the drivers side front pillar side just behind the bonnet. I was looking on the pillar in between back and front door.

I have no idea...certainly not this year as there is no way a 2013 re-design would pass all the tests / global regulatory requirements.
All I know is the new DQ200 mech unit is specifically built for "Pacific" regions rather then the old one which was a European conditioned mech unit yet VW were lazy and combated it with simple coding...which we're all aware now has failed...
