or if the red gelatin paper starts a fire... you will claim insurance? lol
Sorry... just my two bobs worth, seems like a huge process and a big pain in the arse just to have dark tail lights which can look good but can also be hard to see at times.
Understand the globes are brighter but I wouldn't want to be rear ended.
As long as you are happy all good... not all mods work for everyone and I am sure the real thing is better to look at than some of these pics above.

Wow, my apologies for the fashionably late response!

Review of Dectanes:
LOVE EM! LED panels for indicators, reverse and fog light. Can also get red ones.
Had a peek inside of the lense, pretty good quality. Fitment is 99.9% perfect. Virtually OEM fitment. Shipped in two big boxes, bubble wrapped. Oddly enough, mine had scratches on the front of each lense... don't know if these where ex-display. Quick cut fixed that to as new again so not fussed.
Has two resistors per each unit, 100w and 200w (from memory). Oddly enough, reversing and rear fog will trip the bulb out warning (after rewiring for OEM LHD). Braking and parkers do not. I'm hoping a simple deactivation via VCDS will fix that. I'm not going to go into specifics here, leaving this mainly for images. Happy to explain in person
The main lightbar sections are parkers, the two strips of LED's are your brake lights. I might get off my ass and take more photos later.
Lights off: super black lense, if you want dark go these. These are still brighter/stronger than OEM; brake, parking lights, reverse, fog, indicators.
P.S. If you own OEM Black tails or Eagle Eye tails, you can do dual reversing lights. Actually, even OEM Red's, just harder to take out the red fog cover.
First take out the red fog cover in lense, take out the little fog light bulb holder and replace with another reverse light, and rewire for dual reverse lights. Can't do this on the Dectanes due to the manufacturing process, and you'll need to find the same white reverse light panel to replace the red fog panel (if that makes sense).
Good luck everyone!
Love them Eddie!! You have to show me in person

Would any know where I can get my hands on the vinyl type material for your tail lights to make it look smoked I tried doing it with black plastidip and it's too dark. During the day so. Any info that would be great

Got my euro R black tails (from Kufatec) and after taking out the fog lense and installing I had no reverse so I compared the light holders. I couldn't see the difference but decided just to swap them with the old ones. So I just needed to swap the brake globes (new ones are red tint) And found the brakes globes where soldered. Has anyone else found this? There pretty easy to remove the solder but it seems a odd thing to do. What happens when the glob blows.
Solved it. The wire comes in to the second from the bottom but the euros have it at the bottom. So I swapped the pins for now. Will get some red tint brake lights and use the original globe holders after I change the pin back.
Still doesn't explained why they soldered the globes in.
