BTJ, yes, LHS tail has a red plastic cover in the shape of a half oval that you need to yank out with pliers. If stuggling, melt it into two pieces with a solder for instance. I just used brute force and yanked the piece out. Hard to explain but you will see once you get them

janpet, no idea! If you know, please let me know
Yes. I broke the red plastic with pliers into pieces. 15 min job.

Hahahhah Eddie, why don't you be the guinea pig and trial these lights as well so that we can all make up our minds after you've put it on :p

    Hi Guys,

I hate to be the harbinger of bad tidings, but the reference above refers to a SERVICE and NOT rear tail lights. This particular guy is offering mirror type glazing (I suppose lots of laquered layers or laser treatment..who knows) on YOUR existing tail lights. He indicates that he is able to purchase second hand ones in Germany for you and glaze them (at a cost) if you cannot supply him with your existing ones. Cost of glazing is 50euro, then 40euro to ship...can be quit costly

I was gonna say Mario, that it looks like they just used an OEM light and sprayed around the areas they mask off!

Well that confirms it, thanks mate!

Whats the technique to removing the tail lights? Any interior trim panels need to be removed?
