If you baby the throttle you can barely hear it. Could just be the difference between your driving style
After 2+ years of sporty driving in the car, in all driving conditions from fuel-efficient to sports mode and everything in between, I have never got the long fart. Not even with the tune and replacement K&N filter.

Still debating if I'm willing to spend €100 on a resonator delete and another 100 if I dont like it and have to change it back

Had no one around who was able to record it!!!

No stress, I'll bring the delete pipe at one of our future meets, so people can see how average a straight through OEM sounds like LOL!

its a shame. anyone with an aftermarket exhaust deserves a good note sounds like the only way to roll us with 1 muffler, and keeping the center muffler..

First of all I can say is all the greenies should die in hell (to any greenies on here please take FULL offence) Seriously if we didn't have to pay more for power (and everything else) now they want to take the fun out of cars.

Also why I wouldn't be concerned with my Polo:

    1. The 1.2 TSI motor without the muffler (keeping a stock pipe size 51mm) doesn't break any laws as it is under 95-98 DB at 6000rpm at 1 metre distance (35 degrees from the tailpipe). Actually the joke is on them because the exhaust IS noisier but only between 2000-2200 rpm where it does step up to about 99 or so DB. But because its outside of their testing criteria it doesn't count. Also they are giving up to 5 DB more than the original but good luck them determining what that is for every stock car out there - what co*ks.

Also would just like to point out a mate changed over his muffler (to a smaller one) on his old 1980's 2.0L Camry and its now louder than my Polo with NO muffler so it just goes to show how quiet these 1.2T motors are.

And I laugh at the fact that they want to ban cars which bellow smoke more than 10 seconds. Guess what, when I gun it from 0-100 onto the freeway or up the mountains I'm bellowing smoke non stop so suck on that and its stock, can't wait for a tune!! hahaha

Should just buy a massive V8 just to burn fuel I think...

One thing that has ALWAYS bewildered me beyond logic is how the hell do the sound levels being blurted out by Harley Davidson bikes tearing through Melbourne CBD get overlooked?

Which groups mainly own HD's?...thought so, the EPA would pee themselves.

We're the soft target...if this gets a leg up, all I can say is the epa better be prepared for law suits...not from consumers...but from manufacturers.

Also on Greenies they can affix their mouth on my exhaust pipe.

I'm a greenie, i'll happily admit it. It's attitudes like that that give all motoring enthusiasts a bad name, same with opinions against cyclists and cyclists agains motorists. Everyone likes to have an elitist attitude and carries themselves with a sense of entitlement in this country and it really pi*ses me off.

I'm a cyclist, but by no means a Greenie...I thoroughly enjoy my Focus bike and being left a lone whilst riding up north...however when minority groups start picking on my lifestyle on vehicle choice / exhaust setup and possibly soon after attacking CAMS and clubs who have members with race setup vehicles (some up to 50+ years old) then they've clearly picked a fight with the wrong motoring family. (lets face it...the fart recyclers will target us next).

P.S if you're a cyclist and you go through a red light...you're an idiot (random attack for any turd who does it). The road is there to share, get along...If you give way...cyclists will reward patient drivers...I assure you of this (except some morons who think they're cyclists but all they really are, are impersonators without common sense / road fairness).
