Rear doors window frame trim

Hey all,

I picked up my new Polo GTI about 1.5 months ago. I just recently noticed the black trim that goes around the (interior) window frame wasn't quite sitting right for the rear doors (see pic below). I'm not sure if it came like this from the factory or the tinters. Anyway, it's booked in to be fixed tomorrow along with a gearbox software update so it's no biggie. I'm just curious as to if anyone else has had this in their car?

I had the same thing but at my front driver side door. You can just pull it back out gently and re-adjust so it sits flush.
Regarding your gearbox update, were you notified after your car was delivered? Just wondering if my April delivered car had it done yet cause I haven't heard anything from dealer

Ok. Mine was a late April build. I was only notified about the update when I gave them my rego to ask about the door trim issue. The update is something to do with telling the engine to close off a valve when the engine is turned off. I didn't bother to find out any more.

Mine is exactly the same. Only noticed it a month ago (no one usually sits in the bad).

Will get it fixed when I get mine serviced next month

I've had this happen on both doors.. once I pulled and pushed the trim back where its meant to be it hasn't popped out since.

One of my windows did the same thing. but it happend when i had to have the front pax side window retinted because of bubbles. the tinters did it but the do come of easy.

Checked on the weekend and had the same thing with my front-passenger door. Yet to have my tint done, so I'm guessing it came like that.

Hmmm, it seems odd that they come from the factory like this. Oh well mine got fixed, oil topped up and software update applied (as well as a wash and vacuum!) on Friday which cost me $0.00. I'm liking this new car thing! (this is my first new car)
