Rear Bumper - Polo GTI

HI All

Anyone know how much a genuine rear bumper costs for a Polo GTI?

Have a disagreement with my dealer on the parking sensors installed and want to know how much it is to replace the bumper (if they take them out).

No idea....

But you could just call the spare parts of any Volkswagen dealership and ask for the cost of a rear bumper. If you don't know the part number, they can look it up for you if you give them the VIN of an appropriate car (yours for example).
Also remember to ask them if that comes with the required mounting hardware (if required when replacing a bumper) and the state of it... it's likely to just come with primer.

So you then need to have it prepped (maybe), painted, and fitted. These obviously add to the cost of the actual bumper itself.


But yes... for the bumper itself, any VW spares can tell you

I'm trying to work out the logic behind the dealer. I'm unhappy with the parking sensors installed as was told they'd be the Optical ones at sale. However, only the audiable ones are available on the Polo.

So the dealer is prepared to remove them and replace the bumper and give me a refund. Logic tells me, if he leaves them and just refunds me, that's cheaper than installing a new bumper........

Yes... but it's likely they'll just keep the bumper in order to fit it to another customer's car that wants the same thing and is happy with the audible ones

I got a dealer fitted front and rear sensors on my GTI. It also came with an LED screen fitted just above the rear view mirror which relays to you the proximity to the object as you get closer to it as well as an audible warning. Had the same system fitted on my previous 77TSI and it works well.
