Should be all fine with the bluetooth, just plug and play when it comes to factory installed stuff.

    Hi guys,

I've got a MY12.5 90TSI with park assist, would it be the same to installing the RCD510 plug&play without any configuration?
As my current RCD310 has a visual display of the parking sensors when I'm reversing/parking.

Yes all should be well, just make sure you get a newish RCD unit built around 2011/2012

The RCD 510 would need to be coded to accept the input signals of the OPS system, yes.

My bad I forgot that it still needed to be coded into the unit and that it doesn't just use the Cent Elec. Installed list.

On a VCDS system. You will already have the OPS system activated in the coding but you would need to have a look in the radio control module to see where in the adaptations you would need to activate it. Sorry if that sounds confusing but with the VCDS system in front of you, it would make perfect sense

I just replaced my RCD 310 with a RCD 510 and the park assist/OPS system works perfectly on the RCD510 display, no coding required was just a straight swap. However my AUX has stopped working ( all activated in VCDS), thinking it may be a wire issue??

I've done this twice on a MkV Golf, and the whole top section of the dash/vents/etc needed to be removed.

Amazed at how simple the process is on the 6R - just one piece of trim!
