Price expectations

Morning all. Just been told I need surgery on my neck and have been recommended to think about driving an auto with softer suspension.
Currently own a white manual 2016 GTI APR Stage 1 Luxury Package (80k) pretty much mint with Harding Performance single mass clutch and HP Dogbone mount.
Any suggestions on resale value and the best option to list really appreciated.

I was considering this exact same spec car about 12 months ago, but ended up buying a Fiesta ST instead. The used car market is flooded at the moment - great for buyers but not great for sellers....although in saying that, there are very few manual Polo GTI's for sale so you will need to find the right buyer as 90% of people want automatics these days which is sad in itself.

Price seems to be around the $16-18k mark currently but who knows if those cars are selling.

For what its worth, 12 months ago when I was buying I had my filter between $15-18k and <100,000km and I was specifically looking for a small manual turbo hatchback. There were several Polo GTI's in that search, but also several Fiesta ST's, Megane RS's, Focus ST's etc. There isn't a huge amount of variety around these days in a small turbo hatchback with a manual transmission, and even less people buying one.

After owning a Polo a Kamiq and a Passat, I would suggest that you look at something a bit more substantial than a Polo sized vehicle. Having driven both from Brissy to Coffs several times I wouldnt like to do it again in a Polo or the Kamiq ( which rides better). A Golf or a Passat is much more comfortable in all ways. The Ultimate was the Tiguan but that is a bit more bulky but shorter than the Passat. My son has a Fiesta Zetec and I have to fold myself up to get in and out. Polo is easier to do that due to wider doors.

Having come from an old Golf MK4 GTI Revo Stage 1 I can totally agree Hillbilly.
The Polo is quicker but I preferred to drive the MK4. Much more solid and better built.
The Polo has been good for my early morning city commutes though.
Never intended for longer trips although I have done a couple of trips Sydney to Byron without too much fuss.
One bid regret is going single mass with clutch upgrade.
Sounds like a tractor at higher speeds on the highway (and yes, I was warned this would be the case)
