    Cool Polo's "posh" cousin...

Hi all, I have just spent a day at the Sydney Motor show, and I had taken a few pictures of the new Audi A1, which is pretty much based on our Polo.

Here are some pictures of our "posh" cousins:

    Polo Chasis, Golf Drive...

Check out those rims, and the usual Audi niceties plus the iconic headlights and tail lights.

Other than that, the Polo is perfectly adequate, and the cabin does not feel any lower compared to the Posh.

It's very nice. A lot of people buy the car by the look. And A1 is the car that will steal a lot of sales from others, if priced sensibly.

Nice photos too, thanks for sharing.

The white one does it for me, and the Rims!

You can feel a strong Polo character under this Audi version... I mean, just have a look at the headlights, not to mention the body shape, and cabin layouts...

Sure to put a fight to the mini buyers who is hesitant of that "powerful" look.

from what I understand Audi will release a 1.4TSI version with a bit more go than the Polo GTI but they decided not to add it to their "S" range as there is no plan to add awd.

As with everything its all just rumour I guess but makes sense.

Guys, We didn't miss out on much.

The cabin feel is similar. There are some niceties. But VW Polo is not something to be complained about.

On the other hand, I have been inside a new Fiesta for the first time, our head on competitor... The cabin and controls are so confusing...

Sat in this tonight - nice but it needs more power.

    Does look pretty good though.

yeah, the interior of the fiesta is nice, but the dash layout is horrific- who needs that many buttons? come next model, the dash'll look tired and tacky for sure.

as for what tim said- that's my understanding too- no S1 w/ 19 inch wheels etc, but an A1 TFSI with pretty much bang on what the polo gti is gonna have (although i think it's 132kw, i read somewhere).

i'd have one over a polo gti, IF they would release it in manual, but damn these pricks who seem to think that it'd be wise to omit a manual option from their lineup.

yes, many people who buy the cars WONT be enthusiasts and yes, most people will enjoy the dsg.... i've driven dsg, and i loved it. but i'd still prefer a manual.
