    POLO TSI What's wrong?!

Heh, what's about all the Polo TSI problems ... got me rethinking, intending to downsize from 'my Golf 2.0 TDI is so good, BUT five years-old' into a 1.2TSI. Is VW getting this 1.2 TSI wrong, or should I consider the TDI ... seems comparatively little or no mention of post-purchase mechanical problems with diesel. Looking in on the Polo page was scary!

    what issues are bothering you?

Despite some minor niggles with the car 9in general), the 1.2Lt donk is an absolute ripper. We have done 9000 kms now and the fuel economy just keeps getting better. Continuous returns of 630+kms per tank of city driving. Happy Days.

On first reading you might go criky but many issues appear to have been in the first build - and dealer resolvable. Mine in build 2' and had no probs. Build 3' is designated MY11.5 and should be even better.

Same as FJ am getting 600 plus and it's nippy as. I love it

You have a diesel so you know how they drive. The 60TDI is also great around town (750KM for my first tank around town).
I find it a much more appropriate car around town than my passat and the DSG is also much smoother.

I had a diesel as my last car, well, it was a 4x4! But i found it great on fuel around town for a 2.5 tonne truck, it was better than the golf is. I love the torque of diesel, especially modern ones but when the GTI is on offer...... Well, easy choice for me
