makre sure they carry out Recall campaign numbers
24v9 - Turbo/actuator recall
37g7 - Gearbox/Mechatronics recall.
I am currently getting my Polo looked at this thursday for a number of warranty items.
1. Air con not working at all
2. EPC & engine light periodically coming on, the cause i have narrowed down to a dodgy electronic actuator that hangs on the side of the turbo
3. still have the rattle from behind dash board
4. faulty auto dimming rear view mirror not working
Besides all these faults i still love the car........when its working
the faulty actuator is a fairly common problem so be mindful if your turbo feels a bit slow to boost on full throttle or full throttle upchange on DSG.........
On the occasions ive had so far the EPC "limp home mode" went away after the car was off for a min or so. but engine light stayed on. last night it happened i turned the engine off and went and opened the bonnet and could hear a electronic noise from the actuator that controls the rod to the wastegate, it sounded like it was struggling to move the rod.......
will update on thursday on how this warranty stuff goes......

Claus is in getting looked at, the service centre confirmed there is the 24v9 - Turbo/actuator recall............ they explained that they replace a part and do a software update.
Plus aircon is getting fixed, hopefully i can get cool air again!!!!!!
And they are trying another fix on the dash rattle as it can consist of a few different lines rattling (fuel, aircon, brake lines etc)
i will be picking him up later this arvo and will post on here the results.

I just put mine in thismorning for its first service and the guy notified me that theres the 2 recalls for mine. Amongst the other things i told them about.
-----------------------
Just had a call, apparently they cant do the software part of the recall due to my ecu having aftermarket software... which it doesnt.
Interesting...

This wouldn't be the same Qld dealer that many people have issues with is it?
Stage 2+ Intercooler Carbon Intake Downpipe Swaybar DV+ Remsa.
Not sure, might possibly be Austral that people are having issues with (from a couple of friends aswell). Mines in at Springwood, still no word back on it... Although the Jetta (just a tad over 1000 on the clock) i have for today was quite the nice drive in to work, so atleast one highlight so far hahaha.
Keen to hear how danntsi77 went yesterday..

Got claus back yesterday arvo........
all good now, turns out the aircon wasnt working due to a fuse (that also powers the rear auto dimming mirror). so now that works.
The shim they install but mainly the software update to both the ecu and DSG are awesome, now i can hear a full dsg flutter on a full throttle upshift , at idle the engine is alot smoother and at low rpm the engine is more responsive. also noticed the dsg is nowhere near as jerky as it was. its alomst as if ive got a new car
Overall im very happy with the service i have received from the service department, being my forth visit (2 services, 2 warranty fixes) since getting my car almost a year ago they have done very well.

Getting mine done next week, looking forward to similar results.
Picked mine up Friday and saught of having a different story with the shim (mine being the manual though) Im finding the engine doenst have as much punch as before. I dont know, other than that i found that the oring on the turbo where the stock charge pipe connects was in two halves -_-, which would explain why i could hear boost leaking and i have to get the car booked back in to get the rattle in the rear left looked for properly (they ran out of time).
Apart from that, its running really good at the moment, definately shifts better but thats purely due to the tension on the cables was fixed. And a bonus apart from the apparent aftermarket software thing that i had (which i didnt), they seemed to be fine with my springs and rear sway bar.
