I bet the cost will be easily more than a Golf GTI. The Polo GTI is still better as far as "bang for buck" Will be interested when and if it comes to Australia But then again, I'm biased

Heh... audi have put it with a 6 speed manual.
They couldn't use the 7sp audi 550nm dsg, as it weighs 140kg and is huge. They couldn't use the 7sp 250Nm VW DSG without doing changes to it to raise the "official" torque rating. The Audi versions of the TFSI also have 350Nm instead of the 280Nm of the VW versions. I wonder whether the 6sp DSG would fit?

I personally don't like the look of it.

The concept of the car is great, but the actual exterior of the car is not very nice.

I'd paint it flat black so it would go unnoticed!

Interesting point Corey They can't put the 7 speed DSG behind it because then it would prove that VAG have been fibbing about the maximum torque capabilities of the gearbox, which would be similar as to why the Golf R has a de-tuned "hot weather" ECU program so not to make it as quick, if not quicker, then the VAG hero hatch in oz being the S3 or the TT-S even

Marketing, it's a bi**h sometimes in a small maket hey!

Well... whether it's the VW version of the 2L "TFSI" without valve lift or the Audi version of the TSI with valve lift, APR have ECU's available for both already. It'd therefore hopefully be a quick task of qualifying the tune on the S1 with it's particular base tune, intake, sensors, drive train etc.

So non-valve lift we go from 155kw/280Nm to ~189kw/402Nm. Or with valve life we go from 155kw/350Nm to ~175kw/451Nm
