Hi all
Car n00b here.
I've got a MY17 Polo GTI, currently sitting at 34,000km. It has been serviced each year by VW. It's coming up for the 72 month / 90K service. I know that the VW service intervals are 15,000km OR 12 months.
Just wondering whether I am positioning myself to be heavily over-serviced by booking it in for the 72 month / 90K service - given the car has done far less kms. I'd be grateful for any comments on this, and any other suggested service approaches (or garages - I'm in Melbourne - inner north area).
I'll likely be selling in the next 12-24 months, so have kept it to VW servicing for the sake of a simple service history (and laziness, on my part).
Thanks in advance!
Simon
Yes get it done My Tig has had its 45,000 service yet has only done 13,000km Gets done every 12 months used or not.
Oil once its out of the sealed bottle is contaminated by use and therefore should be changed at recommended time.
Can be done cheaper by an independent of course, provided they are familiar with VW regime
