I thought so. The MFD is highly inaccurate/optimistic. A more accurate way is to fill up till the first click, then divide the no. of litres with the no. of kms travelled.

    e.g. 435 km travelled/40.5 litres used = 10.74 km per litre
    Then divide 100km/10.74km per litre = 9.31 L per 100km.

    or use this online calculator

Ahh, thanks for that Kaanage and pologti18t.
Seemed a bit on the high side, but not for a demo car LOL.
Would be interested to know based on triode12s fill + click method and combined driving, what any ‘lucky enough to already have'
    Polo GTI owners are averaging?
I get better than that in my Golf GTI on average (that's according to the MFI)
Must also do a click + fill for accuracy, just wanted to get a few more ks up first
