Polo GTI Pricing and Specifications Thread

    Hi Guys,

Here is the information you've been waiting for. Plus a little surprise here, because I didn't know they were going to bring the 3 door!

    Enjoy!

    Model:
    Polo GTI 3 Door 7 speed DSG (6R19V72/11) $27,790
    Polo GTI 5 Door 7 speed DSG (6R19V7/11) $28,990

    Options:
    Alcantara/Leatherette upholstery WL1 $1,900
    Anti-theft Alarm System WDI $600
    Audio Package (RCD510 & MDI) RKZ+UF6 $770
    Bi-Xenon headlights WXR $1,600
    Comfort Package P75 $500
Metallic / Pearl Effect Paint $500
    Panoramic Electric Glass Sunroof $1700

    Colors:
    Candy White
    Flash Red
    Shadow Blue (M)
    Reflex Silver (M)
    Deep Black (PE)

Pricing is RRP only and does not include the extensive list of items which make up the "On Road" or "Drive Away" costs (dealer delivery, stamp duty, registration, Compulsory Third Party-insurance, Number Plates, etc). These items will vary based on dealer, state, your residence post code, your age & driving history, and the options you select.

Thanks! So it's pretty much starting at around $30k on road before options...

Interesting to see how people react.

That's cheaper than what I expected. My biggest concern is no manual. Very curious to see how the DSG goes.

Put it this way, it's only $800 more than the previous model, yet it includes the DSG as standard, which is normally a $2500 option....

I'm personally very (pleasantly) surprised at this price. I think others are too.
Initial reviews (such as Carsales) compared the new Polo GTI to the Mini Cooper S and said as such, the pricing could be as high as $39,900 plus onroads. The fact that it's come in at $27,790 is awesome!

    The Comfort Package for the new Polo;
    Rain sensing wipers
    Automatically dimming rear-view mirror
    Automatic climate control air conditioning

No mention of a cup holder in the GTI Spec/Flyer PDFs...surely they haven't overlooked it....Spotted them - 2 just in front of the gear shifter.

The previous Polo GTI was $26,990 (3 door and manual only). It only had three options:
    Metallic Paint $500
    Sunroof $1500
    Leather $2500
There is no point talking about onroads because registration, ctp and stamp duty is different for each state (and even each person depending on state), number plate costs vary depending on what the customer picks and which state they're in, and dealer delivery varies on which dealer you go. So the above 4 prices are all that's important.

So a sunroof is no longer an option with the new one?

No, there is some production holdup or something for the sunroof. It's not available on any Polo yet that I'm aware of.
