My WRX insurance is around $700 but the Polo GTI would cost me around $520 (I used SGIO to compare) to insure so there is not a lot of difference.

Hi guys, how much should I expect if I want a 5 door in candy white, xenons, comfort pack, audio pack, sunroof and leatherette interior? Also, is it realistic to expect delivery in late January/early Feb next year if I take the plunge within the next couple of weeks? Thanks

On a list price basis including dealer delivery and on-road costs I wouldn't expect much change out of $40K.

Make sure you have a look at the leatherette first - I went in expecting to order it and decided against it as I thought it was overpriced and frankly didn't like the look of it. Each to their own though.

Re ordering now and getting it Jan/Feb next year I would rate your chances as low to probably impossible. I reckon you'd be doing well to get one by this time next year based on the lead-times I've heard recently.

Problem is, most dealers haven't got a demo and if there's one, 99% it won't have the leatherette. Hmm looks like I might be out of luck then as I need something newer to replace the R32 when the lease expires in late January.

what is the comfort package ? i have asked a dealer but as expected no answer to my question with a half wit response lol

In the Gti it is:
Self dimming rear mirror
Rain sensing wipers
Climate control

The other stuff included on the other models is already standard

I'm sorry, and all of you still waiting, I don't mean to sound like an arrogant pig here but I can't halp but laugh at what some of these dealerships are charging you poor people for these cars, if I was in your position, I would be doing further research into the prices before commiting to buy, seems that many of you are being taken for a very long ride and the sales flogs (lying ba**ards...) are laughing all the way until they get their commision....

A mistake has been made there. Whether by the dealer, whether you misinterpreting something, I don't know.
I would say it's a typo. It was meant to be "Shift 4"500 - in otherwords $500, not 4500. Even gavs is trying to take you for $50

lol nah i have double checked the email of the prices from this half wit salesmen and it definitely says $4500
