    Polo GTI Muffler Delete

    I want to do this do i ask the muffler shop to remove the middle muffler or the rear? im after the dsg farts on upshifts.
    Is it called a resonator delete?

    Yes, it's called a resonator delete, I think it's the middle muffler not the rear.

    Cool thanks mate! will i get the farts on upshifts? and what do i tell the person doing it. Just tell them i want them to remove the resonator?

    It should give you farts if you remove the resonator. Yeah, tell them you want a resonator delete. I'm going to get mine done next week but no farts for me cause mine is a manual. Something to consider is paying a little more and asking them to make it so it can be reversed easier without welding if you wanted to go back to normal, they either add clamps or flanges to it.

    Yeah I was considering doing that so it's an easy change over. Might cost more but worth it. Just hope there would be no leaks

    How much does a res delete cost? I will consider doing this also!

    ive called one place and was quoted $100 so its a cheap mod!

    Yes it is the front resonator delete, I got mine done about 2 months ago, cost me $80 in North Melb. The car sounds much better now, and up shifting is good.

    Got a video? I'm interested in doing it also, but with the Mrs driving the car i want to make sure its woman friendly

    should i get it welded up or have it so its interchangable with flanges? will cost more but an easy change over if i get sick of it.
