I've just done 1000km & I've been back to the dealership. Apparently it's now 200ml/1000km.
I'm not sure it that's even accurate, cause they did the "check up" in like 5mins... probably just enough time to check the dipstick...lol
But by my visual observation -
- dipstick is showing little to no use of oil
- less visible black spot on the back, they're tiny tiny black spots now that's only visible when I run my fingers across the hatch.
700ks oil level has not moved, still keeping fingers crossed though
850km done,dip stick still full

It really depends on if they are always squirting in every piston stroke or if they are ecu controlled dependent on coolant, intake, oil, exhaust temps etc... If the squirrels are atomizing oil into vapour inside a poorly sealed engine then I can see how this could contribute to oil consumption but on a properly put-together motor, there shouldn't be an issue. In 72000kms I have put in a total of 1ltr shell helix ultra extra, 2.5ltr of Liqui-Moly top tech 4200 and 1ltr Fuchs Titan. As I have always said, it comes down to manufacturing tolerances. I've been lucky in that respect but had a fair cop of DSG crap!

From the quick look I have had at the squirters, the new ones appear to have a bigger bore.
